Low Histamine Chip Steak

Sliced real thin, less than 1/16” | Unaged | Frozen Immediately

New Low Histamine!

$17.98 /lb.
Avg. 1 lb.

Thin-sliced, never aged, and frozen the same day. It cooks in minutes straight from frozen, so it’s one of the easiest low histamine meals you can make. Great for quick sandwiches, skillet meals, and soups.

What Makes This Beef Special

  • Never aged. Frozen the same day it’s processed to keep histamine low
  • Sliced paper thin, so it’s tender without aging
  • 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, moved to fresh pasture daily
  • No antibiotics, vaccines, growth hormones, or wormers... ever
  • Washed in water and only water. Nothing added during processing

Why Chip Steak Works So Well Unaged

Most beef hangs for 2–3 weeks to get tender... and that’s when histamine builds up. We skip the aging, so we let the knife do the work instead. Sliced this thin, chip steak stays tender without the wait. It also cooks in a minute or two, which means less time on the heat.

Storage & Shelf Life

Keep frozen for up to 1 year. For lowest histamine, cook straight from frozen. The slices break apart in a hot pan as they cook. If you need to thaw, put it in a sealed bag in a bowl of water and cook it as soon as it’s ready. Skip the slow fridge thaw, since histamine climbs the longer meat sits.

Cooking Tips

  • Drop it frozen into a hot skillet and break it apart as it cooks. It’s done in a few minutes
  • Keep it quick. Long, high-heat browning adds histamine
  • Simmer it in broth or soup for an even gentler option
  • Enjoy it right away, and freeze any leftovers immediately

Creative Uses

  • Steak sandwiches with sautéed onions
  • Skillet meals with peppers and rice
  • Chopped into a breakfast hash with potatoes
  • Thin-sliced beef soup with fresh vegetables and herbs

Notes from Farmer Dan

Chip steak can be taken from the Bottom Round, Eye of Round, Sirloin Tip, or Top Round.
Cooking Technique: Pan-Fry, Simmer

(Bottom Round) Taken off the hind, this makes a good roast called a rolled rump roast. It can also be made into chip steak, jerky, or dried beef.

(Eye of Round) Taken out of the hind, this is a lean, drier cut. It can also be made into a roast, chip steak, jerky, dried beef, or round steak.

(Sirloin Tip) Taken off the hind, this cut has a lot of muscle, so it needs to be cooked correctly. It can be turned into a roast, steak, or chip steak.
