Gold Standard Milk Safety

We take raw milk seriously, and it doesn't stop with our farming practices. Safety matters a lot. That's why we have our milk tested monthly and our water tested yearly. We make sure the milk is properly agitated and quickly cooled. We don't hold raw milk in the bulk tank longer than 3 days (unless further processed into something like cheese in 6 days). Our bulk tank milk is kept at 34F, and milk stays under 40F while packaging and transporting. Frozen milk must be flash frozen and kept frozen. Our cream is kept at 34F after being separated and processed into things like butter within 4 days. We use organic cleaning products and hot water at 160F for cleaning. All milk equipment is thoroughly cleaned and inspected after each milking.
